For all their fame, though, the family has remained down-to-earth, very friendly and stylish. A family reception at the winery is a warming experience.
The family vineyards in the Grand Cru village of Cramant, one of the first communes in the Côte des Blancs to be classified as a Grand Cru, are tended with the greatest care. The vineyards in this natural amphitheatre are among the world's greatest Chardonnay sites. Cramant stands for mineral, soft, creamy Chardonnay champagnes with finesse and floral aromas.
The Diebolt-Vallois style emphasizes the floral, elegant character of the Cramant terroir. With an immediate appetizing appeal, the wines are served in many of the world's best restaurants.
Bottled for the first time in 1995, the top Diebolt-Vallois wine – Fleur de Passion, from the oldest vines in the best vineyards – was then, and remains to this day, one of the best blancs de blancs in the whole of Champagne.
