The family has 28 hectares in the Grand Cru communes of Cramant, Chouilly and Oger and the Premier Cru communes of Cuis and Vertus. Thanks to these excellent vineyard sites and the brothers' skill, their wines are among the most reliable Chardonnay champagnes.
The philosophy of the domaine is to use the best grapes and wines for the entire range of its champagnes. So contrary to the existing trend towards single-vineyard champagnes, part of each Gimonnet wine is from the old vines and the domaine's most prestigious sites.
The Gimonnet style is based on finesse, freshness, elegance and consistency. Given the quality of the wines and the excellent reputation of this producer, prices are more than reasonable.
